JAPANESE SWORD - A RARE 14th
CENTURY NAGAMAKI BLADE REMOUNTED
AS A KATANA IN THE EDO PERIOD. An Ultra Rare, Japanese 13-14th Century Nagamaki Blade Re-Mounted in the Early Edo Period (1600) as a Katana (nagamaki-naoshi-katana). The blade, which is immaculate, is housed in a black ishime lacquer scabbard wit shakudo kojiri and is fitted with a Warabite sukashi iron tsuba. The silk bound handle is fitted with a high quality fuchi and kashira in shakudo (copper and gold alloy) and (silver and copper alloy). The fuchi is signed Tsunennao. Blade length - 67cm. 98cm total length.
