A Rare 1796 Curved OSBOURNE warranted sword. An original sword in very good condition, with hilt in original leather and wire bound. The pattern on the sword blade can be seen with a royal crown. The majority of these swords were passed down the regiments and any engraving was worn away during the Napoleonic wars. This sword has its original scabbard with brass surrounds and decorative pattern – denoting a higher officer. One original ring remains on the scabbard. This could easily have been on the field at waterloo. 87cm total length in scabbard.
