MAGNIFICENT 20th CENTURY CHINESE SOLID SILVER & ENAMEL EXCEPTIONAL SAKE SET ON TRAY c.1970

A truly superb and amazing fine handmade full size teapot or wine pot EWER with six original matching goblet cups and matching original serving tray. We believe the finest quality set like this we have seen. The set is constructed of thick solid sterling silver, that is then richly gold gilt throughout. The pieces also feature superb enamel and filigree work, along with turquoise jeweling.
Each part is Hallmarked Chinese silver (stamped SILVER),
We are told the collector paid upwards of twenty thousand dollars for this set 25-30 years ago and that such sets are highly sought after by prominent families and collectors.
Condition : Amazing with minor imperfections including some missing stones consistent with the fragile nature and vintage age. Overall substantially fine and intact as seen. UV light reveals no hidden damage, touchups, or repairs. Several of the pieces could use a minor cleaning with tarnish as seen but we never like to touch or alter the items we offer so we will leave that up to the new owners
Size & Weight : Wine Pot measures approx 11 inches tall by 7-1/2 inches long and holds 1250ml or 42oz. Each of the Cups measures approx 3-5/8 inches tall by 2-1/4 inches across the top. The Serving Platter Tray measures approx 20 inches long across the handles by 10 inches wide overall or the serving area measures 13-3/4 inches by 7 inches. The total weight of the service is a huge!! 3427 grams /approx 3.5kg!!
